English, French, German, PolishAgata Konarska is a journalist and television presenter associated with Telewizja Polska (TVP) since the mid-1990s. She graduated in Economics from the University of Vienna and the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw, as well as postgraduate studies at MASTER HEC in Paris. Over the years, she has worked for TVP Polonia, TVP Info, and TVP1. She has authored dozens of reports from Poland and around the world on the subjects of the Polish diaspora, economics, and international affairs. She has also authored the programs Polska Racja and Polska Karta, as well as Magazyn Polonijny.
For TVP, she covered the entire process of Poland’s negotiations and accession to the European Union. She was also a co-author and presenter of the program “Racja Stanu” produced jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At TVP Info, she presented news services, morning programs on TVP1 and TVP Info, Biznes Info, international programs, as well as the economic programs PLUS MINUS and Kapitalny program.
Agata has hosted major music festivals such as SOPOT and OPOLE, television galas such as the WIKTORY or EUROWIZJA dance competition at the Grand Theater in Warsaw, and the Junior Eurovision in Gliwice and Warsaw. She has also covered various international events and conferences, such as Poland’s and other countries’ accession to the European Union on Grande Place in Brussels on April 31/May 1, 2004, the conclusion of Poland’s presidency in Strasbourg in 2011, the International Press Ball in Berlin in 2000, the Polish Day at MIDEM in Cannes in 2004, the Polish Day at EXPO in Japan in 2005 and Milan in 2015, and the presentation of Zakopane’s candidacy for the Winter Olympics in Seoul in 1999.
Agata is passionate about sports and was a successful tennis player for many years. She hosted the Olympic Studio during the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and Olympic galas. She has hosted several television programs, including the morning show Kawa czy herbata and Dzień dobry w sobotę, the Expo dla Ciebie program (a cyclical relation from Expo in Milan) on TVP1 in 2015.
Currently, Agata is the face of TVP, serving as a journalist, presenter, and host of major broadcasts, concerts, and programs. She hosts the main edition of the Polonia 24 news service and the Halo Polonia magazine on TVP Polonia, as well as the economic program Kapitał Polski. On TVP Kultura, she presents cultural information. For years, she has been collaborating with TVP’s Catholic editorial staff, hosting programs such as Okiem Wiary and Między Ziemią a Niebem, Papal concerts, the broadcasts from the Vatican (pasterka, Urbi et Orbi), and the broadcasts from the Three Kings’ Procession.
She also hosted the Polish Economic Success magazine in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and Development, broadcasted on TVP3, and other series funded by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Economy.
She hosted press conferences announcing the most important TVP program events, such as festivals in Opole, TV series conferences (Korona Królów, Blondynka, etc.), special shows of TV Theater performances, or premieres of documentaries produced by TVP.
She is also the author of many exclusive interviews with figures from the world of culture, sport, and politics, including Jose Manuel Baroso, the head of the European Commission, Pat Cox, the President of the European Parliament, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the NATO Secretary General, Mary Mc Aleese, the President of Ireland, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, the President of Iceland, Iveta Radicova, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of Economy and Finance of France, Wladimir Kliczko, Aleksander Skarsgard, Stacey Keach, Joe Cocker, the band Europe, STING, Robbie Williams, etc.
She was also associated with Radio ZET for several years, hosting her own authorial interview slot with leading figures from the world of culture and beyond.
She is fluent in French, English, and German, and conducts conferences and TV interviews in these languages.
